Delete your account & data

This page explains how you can request deletion of your Vuon Vetan account and the personal data associated with it. Vuon Vetan is a Human Resource, Attendance and Payroll application provided by Smarteye Solutions Private Limited.

Because Vuon Vetan is used by employers to manage their workforce, your employer is the primary controller of your employment records. You can request deletion directly from us using the steps below, and we will act on your request in coordination with your employer where required.

How to request deletion

1. Send an email to grievance@vuon.in with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”.
2. In the email, include your registered name, your registered mobile number or email, and your company/employer name, so we can locate and verify your account.
3. We will verify your identity (to protect your account from unauthorised deletion) and confirm the request.
4. Once verified, we will delete your account and eligible personal data, and email you a confirmation.

Alternatively, you may ask your employer’s HR administrator to deactivate and delete your profile from within the Vuon Vetan admin console.

What is deleted, and what is kept

When your deletion request is processed, we delete or irreversibly anonymise the following personal data:

Deleted / anonymised	Details
Profile & contact data	Name, email, phone, address, photograph, designation.
Sensitive data	Aadhaar and PAN details, bank account details, KYC records.
Biometric / images	Face selfies and uploaded document images.
Attendance & location	Punch records, geo-location captured at field punches, leave records.
Device data	Device identifiers and push-notification tokens.

Certain records must be retained for a limited period to comply with Indian legal, tax, payroll and statutory obligations, and are then deleted or anonymised:

Retained	Reason & period
Payroll & statutory records	Salary, payslip and statutory contribution records (EPF, ESI, PT, TDS) are retained for the minimum period required under applicable Indian law — typically up to 8 years — after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Compliance / audit logs	Minimal audit records required for security and legal compliance, kept for the legally mandated retention period.

How long it takes

We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days. Data held only in backups is purged on our routine backup-rotation cycle.
